E-bike hire in Samoëns: shops, kids' sizes and 2026 prices

Five shops on the Samoëns tourist office's listings rented e-bikes in summer 2026: Xtreme Glisses, Intersport, Mountain Ski Shop, Jaime Sport and Anthonioz Ski. Xtreme Glisses is the one that lists children's e-bike sizes, from 20 to 26 inch, and for an electric semi-rigid mountain bike it listed €52 for a full day, adult or child. Some listings had ended by 20 October 2026, so check that a shop is open before you plan around it.

E-bike hire in Samoëns

Mountain Ski Shop appears on the tourist office site under both Mountain Ski Shop and Mountain Bike Shop, at the same address on the rue des Billets. Its electric Rosalie, a four-wheeled pedal vehicle, was listed from 14 March to 4 October 2026.

The tourist office also lists Xtreme Glisses road bikes and electric road bikes. Xtreme Glisses sits at the village entrance on the Morillon side, next to the Grand Massif Express gondola.

Prices at the time of writing

Prices below are from tourist office listings updated in August and September 2026, so they are 2026 prices. Confirm them with the shop.

Mountain bike hire in Samoëns

Xtreme Glisses also rents non-electric downhill and enduro bikes. Jaime Sport lists downhill, enduro, all-mountain and cross-country bikes, with a free helmet included. Intersport lists adult mountain bikes, full-suspension all-mountain bikes, road bikes and BMX. Remember that the downhill trails above the village are enduro routes for experienced riders, according to the council. The family mountain biking guide covers the gentle routes.

Kids bike hire in Samoëns

Three shops list bikes for children.

• Xtreme Glisses: child sizes from 20 to 26 inch on its electric semi-rigid bikes. A baby seat comes free with the hire, and trailers are rented separately.
• Intersport: junior mountain bikes, BMX and junior electric mountain bikes. The listing gives no sizes.
• Jaime Sport: "all sizes" for adults and children, though the listing gives no wheel or frame sizes. It also lists trailers that attach to an adult bike to carry a child.

Mountain Ski Shop lists electric mountain bikes for adults and children and sets a minimum height of 1.50 m for its electric fat bikes. It lists no other limits. A helmet is compulsory in France for any child under 12, and Intersport and Jaime Sport list one with the hire. Xtreme Glisses says it can supply one.

Guided e-bike rides and lessons

Septi'Bike, the mountain bike school based at the same address as Xtreme Glisses, lists guided rides on mountain bikes and electric bikes for adults and children, with certified instructors and groups of up to 12. Its listing runs from 23 March to 27 October 2026, on request, and gives no prices; the beginner mountain biking guide has the details. Jaime Sport lists guided mountain bike rides from 12 April to 2 November 2026 for groups of up to 12, without giving levels, ages or whether e-bikes are used.

Booking

Xtreme Glisses asks for a booking at least two days before you arrive, lets you collect the bike the day before, and takes groups of up to 10. Its booking does not give you priority over other customers. In the 2026 season the tourist office listed its hours as 9:00 to 19:00 in high summer, with shorter weekday hours in low season.
